Worthing is a proper town with a lot of businesses chasing the same local searches, and the ones that win are the ones that look credible the second someone lands on the page. Page Forge builds Worthing independents a fast, professional site designed to turn a Google search into an enquiry. Everything included, live in about a week, from £99.

Worthing is the far end of our coastal patch, so we work with businesses here mostly by phone, email and video, with a visit when it genuinely helps, and it makes no difference to the result. From the shops and cafes in the town centre to the trades working across Broadwater, Goring and Durrington, plenty of firms are either overpaying for a slow website or getting by without one. Either way the work drifts to whoever ranks above them. A sharp, quick site that reads well on a phone keeps those enquiries coming to you instead.

You do not need to touch anything technical. Tell us what you do and the areas you cover, and we handle the design, the words, your .co.uk domain, the hosting, the SSL and the updates afterwards. We build for businesses right along the coast and into Mid Sussex, so you deal with one person who answers the phone rather than a support desk. If you run a trade, our websites for tradespeople are built around the exact searches your customers make, and priced so you are not locked into a long contract.

A seaside town with far more going on than the pier

Worthing is a seaside town and borough in West Sussex, at the foot of the South Downs, about 11 miles west of Brighton and 18 miles east of Chichester, covering some 12.5 square miles. With a population of around 113,000 it is the second largest part of the Brighton and Hove built-up area and one of the more populous urban areas in the country. The northern edge of the borough, including the Worthing Downland Estate, falls within the South Downs National Park, and its Art Deco pier was voted the best in Britain in 2019.

The area has been settled for a very long time. The flint mines at Cissbury and the nearby hills, dating from around 4000 BC, are among the earliest Neolithic monuments in Britain, with the Cissbury mine alone having around 270 shafts dug using tools of bone and antler. Cissbury Ring, the Iron Age hill fort above the town, is one of the largest in the country, and there is a Bronze Age hill fort at Highdown Hill on the western edge. Worthing itself stayed a small mackerel fishing hamlet for centuries.

That changed in the late 18th century. Wealthy visitors began arriving in the 1750s, Princess Amelia stayed in 1798, and Worthing formally became a town in 1803, growing into an elegant Georgian resort with developments such as Park Crescent and Liverpool Terrace. Through the 19th and 20th centuries the wider area was one of Britain’s chief market gardening centres. Goring, now part of the borough, was only incorporated in 1929 and historically sat in a different old division of Sussex, which is the sort of thing that still shapes how people describe where they are.

Modern Worthing has a large service economy, with a notable financial services sector, three theatres and the Dome, one of the oldest working cinemas in the country. Oscar Wilde and Harold Pinter both lived and worked in the town, which tells you something about its pull. For a local business, all of this is genuinely useful rather than trivia. It is the specific, sourced detail that makes a website read as truly from Worthing instead of copy that could describe any resort on the south coast, and Google increasingly favours pages that clearly belong to a place. We write your site to sound like it comes from here, name the right neighbourhoods, and set your Google Business Profile up to match how customers actually search across the town.

Common questions

Do you build websites for businesses in Worthing?
Yes. We are based along the coast in Hassocks and build for businesses across Worthing and the surrounding area. Worthing is the far end of our patch, so we work mostly by phone, email and video, with a visit when it genuinely helps, and the result is exactly the same. You still deal with one person who knows the town rather than an agency.
How much does a website cost in Worthing?
A standard site is a £99 one-off setup plus £29 a month, or £299 a year paid annually. That covers the website, your .co.uk domain, UK hosting, SSL and six content updates a year. Bigger or multi-page projects, and online shops, are quoted to match, so you only ever pay for what your business needs.
How quickly can my Worthing website go live?
Most sites are live within about five working days. You tell us about the business and send your details, we design, write and build the whole thing, and it publishes once you have signed it off. We handle the words and the technical setup, so it takes very little of your time.
Worthing has a lot of competition. Can a one-page site really compete?
For most independents and trades, yes. A fast, focused page that clearly says what you do, the areas you cover and how to get in touch often beats a big, slow site that nobody keeps up to date. If you genuinely need more, such as an online shop or a large multi-page build, we quote that per project rather than forcing the one-pager on you.
Can the site target specific parts of Worthing like Goring or Broadwater?
Yes. Worthing is large and people search by neighbourhood, so we set your wording and your Google Business Profile up to reflect the areas you actually work, from Broadwater and Goring to Durrington and out toward Findon and Sompting. That way you show up where your customers are really looking.
