A plumber’s site and a dentist’s site aren’t the same job. Find the guide for your trade or profession and see exactly what your website needs to do.
We build websites for small businesses across Sussex, and we’ve learned that no two trades want the same thing. A roofer needs a big tap-to-call button and photos of finished jobs. A solicitor needs to look established and trustworthy before anyone reads a word. A cafe lives or dies on its opening hours and a menu people can actually read on a phone. The site has to fit the work, not the other way round.
So rather than one vague “small business” pitch, we’ve written a guide for each line of work we know well. Each one covers the exact search a customer makes, what they need to see the moment they land, the trust signals that matter in that field, whether that’s Gas Safe, NICEIC, the GDC, the SRA or the FCA, and the mistakes we see again and again on sites in that sector. The idea is simple: read the one for your trade and you’ll know what a good site looks like for you, whether or not you build it with us.
Most of these are a natural fit for our standard one-page website: quick to load, easy to update and live in about five working days, from £99 to set up and £29 a month. Some, like restaurants with full menus, hotels, care homes, law firms and anyone selling online, usually need more room. For those we scope a bigger build and quote it to match, rather than forcing everything onto a single page. Either way you get the same thing: a site that speaks to your customers and brings in the right kind of enquiry.
