Consulting work comes on trust, and most of it starts with a referral or a name someone was given. The first thing that person does is look you up, and in about ten seconds they decide whether you look like the expert they were promised. A thin site, a generic template or nothing at all plants a doubt at the exact moment you needed to look assured. Page Forge builds consultants a clean, credible website that confirms the referral was a good one and moves a curious prospect towards a conversation.

You bill for your expertise, not for wrestling with web software, so we handle all of it. Tell us what you do, who you do it for and the results you have delivered, and we design it, write it, sort the domain and host it. One page, built to load fast and read as considered and professional on both a laptop and a phone, because a prospect will check you on both, often between meetings. We write it so it reads as authoritative rather than salesy, and so Google understands your specialism when someone searches for the kind of help you offer rather than a generic job title.

We are based in Hassocks and work with independents and small firms across Sussex and the wider South East, and for a consultant most clients never need us on site. We built and run C4C Group, the enterprise IT consultancy Nick also runs, so we understand first-hand what a considered business-to-business site needs to do and what makes a serious buyer trust it. If you want detailed case studies, a resources or insights section, or a proper multi-page firm site with several people, that is a bigger build we quote to match. A single sharp page, though, is often exactly right for an independent consultant.

What your website needs to bring in work

badge

Who you are and why you are credible

A clear, confident statement of your specialism, your background and the kind of client you serve. A prospect needs to know in seconds that you work on their sort of problem, not a vague “strategic solutions” line that could belong to anyone. The sharper you are about who you help and how, the easier it is for the right client to recognise themselves and the easier it is to decline the work that is not for you.

Proof, not adjectives

Real results, relevant experience, named qualifications and any chartered status or professional body membership. Trust in consulting is built on evidence, so we lead with what you have actually done rather than a list of buzzwords a prospect has read a hundred times. Where you hold a recognised accreditation or sit on a relevant body, we make sure it is visible, because those signals do quiet, heavy lifting with a cautious buyer.

handshake

The outcome you deliver

What actually changes for a client who works with you, put in plain terms of the problem you solve and the result they get. Prospects buy the outcome, not the methodology, so the page speaks to their situation before it explains your process. Framing your work as the result on the other side, rather than the hours in between, is what makes a senior buyer see the fee as an investment rather than a cost.

format_quote

Testimonials that carry weight

A few genuine client testimonials, ideally named or from a recognisable sector, do more than any self-description ever could. We surface the ones you have earned, cleanly and believably, so a referral sees that others in their position already trust you. A short, specific quote about a real result lands far harder than a page of adjectives, and it reassures the prospect that the referrer was not the only person to rate you.

call

A single, obvious next step

One clear call to action, usually to book an introductory call or send an enquiry. Consulting sites often bury the contact details or offer five competing options that leave a warm prospect unsure what to do. We make the next move unmistakable, because someone who has decided you might be right should never have to hunt for how to reach you, and every extra second of friction loses a share of them.

bolt

Fast, professional, and yours

A hand-built page with no template bloat, so it loads instantly and reads as sharp and current rather than something knocked together in an afternoon. First impressions in this field are unforgiving, and a slow or dated site quietly undermines the very expertise you are trying to convey. It is also yours to keep, hosted and looked after by us, not a subscription that holds your professional reputation to ransom every month.

Three steps. That’s it.

No jargon, no committees, no six-week timelines. We get your area businesses online fast.

Common questions

My work all comes by referral. Do I actually need a website?
That is exactly why you need one. A referral is a name and a recommendation, but before anyone commits real budget they look you up, and what they find either confirms the referral or plants a doubt. A sharp, credible site turns a warm introduction into a booked call. Without one, you are relying on the prospect to take the referrer entirely on faith, and at consulting fees, most simply will not. The website is not there to generate cold leads so much as to stop you losing the warm ones.
What should a consultant’s website actually say?
Less than most people think, and more pointedly. It should say clearly what you specialise in, who you help, the outcomes you deliver and the proof behind that, then give one obvious way to get in touch. Prospects are not reading a brochure, they are checking whether you are the right expert for their specific problem and whether you look like someone their peers would use. We write it to answer that quickly, in a confident tone rather than a salesy one, and we cut everything that does not earn its place.
Can I show client work without breaking confidentiality?
Yes, and it is common in consulting. We can present results anonymised, by sector and outcome rather than by name, so you demonstrate credibility without naming a client who would rather stay private. Where you do have permission to name someone or quote them, that carries even more weight and we will use it well. We never invent a testimonial or a result, because a buyer who later senses something was fabricated will not just walk away, they will tell the person who referred you.
Is one page enough, or do I need something bigger?
For a solo or small-team consultant, one strong page is often ideal, it keeps the message tight and gets you live fast. If you want detailed case studies, a blog or insights section, separate service pages for distinct offerings, or a firm site with several people and their profiles, that is a bigger build and we quote it per project. We will give you an honest steer on which you actually need rather than upselling you, because a clear one-page site beats a sprawling one nobody finishes reading.
How fast is it live and what does it cost?
About five working days once we have your details and any logos or photos. It is £99 to set up, then £29 a month or £299 a year, covering hosting, updates and a real person in Sussex to call rather than a support queue. A larger multi-page firm site is quoted per project. If you want to be found in search for your specialism, not just relied upon by referral, our SEO work starts from £99 as a one-off with no monthly lock-in.
