The challenge
Sindall Building Contractors is a family building firm in Haywards Heath, established in 2008, handling extensions, loft and garage conversions, kitchens and bathrooms, refurbishments and full new builds right across Mid Sussex. Their edge is having nearly every trade on their own books, so a project runs to one programme and one phone number rather than a chain of subcontractors. The reputation backs it up: Anthony and the team hold more than 200 Checkatrade reviews, nearly all rated 10 out of 10, plus a wall of five-star Google reviews, and accreditations from FENSA, City & Guilds, Buy With Confidence and the GGF.
The website was the weak link. It was built on Wix, and it was slow and hard to shape into the quality site the business deserved. For a builder whose whole pitch is craftsmanship and doing the job properly, a sluggish, generic site sends the wrong message before a homeowner has read a word, and with only a thin single page, it gave Google very little to rank and nothing for the specific services and towns people actually search for.
