Professional one-page websites for Haywards Heath trades, shops and professional services, fast, affordable, everything included.
Web design in Haywards Heath is for trades, shops and professional offices competing for the same commuter-town searches. The town sits fourteen miles north of Brighton and thirteen miles south of Gatwick, with a station that has been pulling London traffic since 12 July 1841. The businesses that win are the ones that look credible the moment someone lands on their site. Page Forge builds Haywards Heath businesses a fast, professional website designed to turn a Google search into an enquiry, from £99.
We are based a short drive south in Hassocks. From the offices around the station and Perrymount Road to the trades working across Lindfield, Cuckfield and the villages, we make getting online simple: design, copy, your own domain and UK hosting, one honest price. Live in about five working days, not months.
Haywards Heath customers check credentials on a phone, often on the train. A slow WordPress page or a missing site hands that work to a Cuckfield or Burgess Hill rival who simply showed up in the results. We write the page so Google can rank you for the town, and so ChatGPT can quote a clear answer when someone asks for an accountant, a plumber or a solicitor near Haywards Heath.
On Your Doorstep
Haywards Heath is a relatively modern town. The name is older than the streets: first recorded in 1261 as Heyworth, then Hayworthe, Haywards Hoth and, by 1607, Hayworths Hethe, a heath by a hedged enclosure. Muster Green was the site of a Civil War fight in early December 1642, when a smaller Parliamentarian force under Herbert Morley routed Royalists under Edward Ford after about an hour of fighting. The settlement itself stayed small until the London and Brighton Railway arrived. The station opened on 12 July 1841 and was the southern terminus until Brighton station was completed that September.
A separate civil parish and urban district were created in 1894. From 1934 to 1974 Cuckfield, Haywards Heath and Lindfield were combined as Cuckfield Urban District. Until 1974 the town was in East Sussex; a county boundary change then brought it into West Sussex, which still catches people out. The Princess Royal Hospital, Bolnore Village (first house completed in October 2002) and the A272 relief road, opened in August 2014 and running south of the town, are the modern markers. The old A272 through the centre is now the B2272.
Plenty of residents commute to London, Brighton, Crawley or Gatwick, which is why local firms are judged by the same standard people see at work: fast, clear, easy to contact. Professional services, health practices and household trades all compete for that audience. We build sites that load on a commuter’s phone and state the town, the station catchment and the neighbouring villages you actually cover.
Lindfield, Cuckfield, Burgess Hill, Balcombe and Ansty sit in the same search cluster. Dedicated SEO in Haywards Heath starts at £99 if you want those terms worked properly, including the Google Business Profile that puts you on the map.
Also covering: Lindfield, Cuckfield, Burgess Hill, Balcombe, Ansty and the surrounding villages.
