Polished websites for Lindfield’s independent shops, trades and professionals. Built by a local Mid Sussex designer, live in days, everything included.
Lindfield trades on one of the prettiest High Streets in Sussex, and a business here is judged against that standard. Page Forge builds Lindfield businesses sharp, fast websites that turn a local search into an enquiry. We’re a short drive south in Hassocks, so this is Mid Sussex ground we know well, not a name on a spreadsheet. Everything included, live in about a week, from £99.
It is a village of independents, and independents live and die on looking credible. This is an affluent part of West Sussex where people happily pay for quality and check online before they commit. For a shop on the High Street, a therapist working from a treatment room, a builder covering the surrounding villages or a consultant working from home, a clean, quick site that reads as genuinely local is most of the battle. A tired or missing website hands that customer to a competitor in Haywards Heath who simply appeared in the results first.
You do not need to understand any of the technical side. Tell us what you do and where you work, and we design it, write it, set up your .co.uk domain and hosting, and look after it afterwards. We build for businesses right across Mid Sussex, from a Burgess Hill bakery to trades and independents in the surrounding villages, so you get someone close by who picks up the phone.
On Your Doorstep
Lindfield is a village in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, just a mile north-east of Haywards Heath, sitting on the upper reaches of the River Ouse. Its name means “open land where lime trees grow”, and the lime trees still line the ancient High Street today. That High Street runs along a north to south track that existed thousands of years before the Romans built their London to Brighton road a mile to the west. All Saints Church stands at the top, with a history reaching back to 1098, and the whole village is classified as part of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The High Street itself is the local economy in miniature. It has more than forty medieval and post-medieval timber-framed houses and a run of individual shops, and at the bottom there is a natural spring-fed pond with ducks and herons. Beyond it lies the Common, where cricket has been played since 1747 and where the village still holds its fairs and celebrations. For a Lindfield business, that setting is an asset and an expectation at the same time: customers arrive expecting things to be done well, and your website is often the first test of that.
There is proper history to draw on. King Edward III granted Lindfield a royal charter in 1343 to hold a market every Thursday and two annual eight-day fairs, and the summer fair grew into one of the largest sheep sales in Sussex. The village was part of the Wealden iron industry, and the stained-glass designer Charles Eamer Kempe lived here until 1907 at a house he renamed Old Place. When the London to Brighton railway opened in 1841 it passed to the west, and the station labelled for Cuckfield and Lindfield sat on open land that grew into Haywards Heath, which is why the two places are still so closely tied.
For a modern business, that specific local detail is exactly what makes a website read as genuinely from Lindfield rather than generic copy that could be about any village. Google increasingly favours pages that clearly belong to a place, and customers trust them more too. We write your site so it sounds like it comes from here, set it up to be found when someone nearby searches, and get your Google Business Profile pulling its weight.
