Websites for pubs that keep the bar busy.

Food, events and what’s on this week, on a fast page that looks right on a phone. Live in days, from £99, everything included.

A pub lives or dies on a few questions people ask on their phone: are you doing food tonight, what is on this weekend, and can we bring the dog and the kids. If the answer is a Facebook page that last posted in March, or a website that has not shown the right menu since the last landlord, people assume you are quiet and go elsewhere. Page Forge builds pubs a fast website that shows the food, the events and what is on, so the locals and the passers-by both know there is a reason to come in tonight.

You have a bar to run and no time for tech, so you will not touch any of it. Tell us your menu, your events, your hours and the character of the place, and we design it, write it, sort the domain and host it. One page, built light so it loads fast on a phone in a car park with patchy signal, because that is exactly where the decision to stop gets made. We write it so Google knows you are the pub in your village or on that road, and we set up your Google Business Profile so your photos, hours and reviews show on the map when someone searches for a pub doing food nearby.

We are based in Hassocks and look after independents across Sussex and beyond, from village locals to food-led destinations. If you host a lot of ticketed events, run rooms upstairs to book, or want a full online table-booking and ordering setup, that goes beyond one page and we quote it per project rather than cram it in. Most pubs, though, do very well with a single strong page that keeps the food, the fixtures and the what-is-on genuinely current, backed by a Google listing that shows you are open and busy.

What your website needs to bring in work

restaurant_menu

The food menu, readable and current

Your kitchen menu as clean text, with a clear note on food service times and the Sunday roast. It loads fast, reads on any phone and shows up in search, so nobody arrives hungry at half eight to find the kitchen shut twenty minutes ago. Food is where most pubs now make their money, so making the menu quick to read and easy to find is one of the most direct things you can do to lift covers.

event

What’s on this week

Quiz nights, live music, the darts and pool leagues, big match screenings, beer festivals and open mic nights. A clear, current listing of what is on is the reason a regular checks your page in the first place, so we make it easy to keep looking alive rather than abandoned. A what-is-on section that is obviously up to date does more to signal a lively pub than any amount of copy about atmosphere ever could.

sports_bar

The feel of the place

Photos of the bar, the garden, the fire in winter and the roast on a plate. People choose a pub on atmosphere as much as anything, so we show whether you are the cosy village local, the family garden pub or the food-led destination worth the drive. Setting that expectation up front means the people who make the trip are the ones who will love it and come back, not the ones who wanted somewhere completely different.

schedule

Hours and food service times

When the bar is open, when the kitchen runs, whether you do breakfast, afternoon food or late food at the weekend. We separate bar hours from kitchen hours clearly, because the two are almost never the same and getting it wrong sends a hungry table straight back out the door. Tied to your Google listing, it also means the answer is right whether someone finds you on your site or in a map search.

map

Find us, park and plan

A clear map, your address, a word on parking and whether you are dog and family friendly. One tap for directions, tied to your Google listing, which matters for the passing trade deciding in the car whether to pull in off the main road. For a rural pub especially, being easy to find and reassuring people there is somewhere to leave the car can be the difference between a full car park and an empty one.

calendar_month

Book a table or the function room

A simple way to book a table for food or enquire about the function room for a birthday, a christening or a wake. Whether that is a short form or a clear phone prompt, we make the enquiry easy so it lands with you rather than the pub down the lane. Function and event bookings are often the most profitable nights in the diary, so it is worth making that enquiry effortless instead of leaving people to guess whether you even do it.

Three steps. That’s it.

No jargon, no committees, no six-week timelines. We get your area businesses online fast.

Common questions

We just use Facebook. Isn’t that enough for a pub?
Facebook is good for regulars who follow you, but it is poor at three things pubs really need: showing up when someone searches “pub near me” or “Sunday roast near me”, reliably displaying your current menu and hours, and giving a stranger a proper first impression. A website and a tidy Google Business Profile handle all of that. Unlike a feed, it is yours, it does not bury your post under an algorithm, and it is the first thing a group planning a night out will actually look at when they type your name into Google.
How do I keep events and menus current without it being a chore?
You send us the changes and we make them, included, up to six times a year, which covers seasonal menus and the bigger event updates comfortably. For the fast, week-to-week what-is-on, your Google Business Profile and social pages are the quick tools, and we set you up so a post from behind the bar reaches people looking for you. If you want to run a busy events calendar entirely yourself, that is a slightly bigger build and we will price it honestly rather than pretend the one-pager does everything.
Can people book a table or the function room?
Yes. A simple table-booking or function-room enquiry form is easy to add, or we can send people through to a booking system if you already use one. For a heavily ticketed events operation with paid bookings, capacity limits and allocated seating, that is a bigger build we quote per project. Most pubs, though, do perfectly well with a clear enquiry route and a phone number that gets answered, which keeps the bookings coming without the cost of a full events platform.
Will it help people find us when they are driving past?
That is a big part of it. We build the site to be found in local searches and set up your Google Business Profile so you appear on the map with your photos, hours and reviews. When someone in the passenger seat searches for a pub doing food nearby, or a beer garden on a sunny afternoon, that is what puts you in front of them, with directions a single tap away. For a pub off a main road, that passing trade can be a genuinely large slice of a good weekend.
What does it cost and how quickly is it live?
A one-page pub site is £99 to set up, then £29 a month or £299 a year, covering hosting, updates and a real person in Sussex to call, and it is usually live in about five working days. A bigger build with a full events calendar, rooms to book or online ordering is quoted per project so the price fits the work. Local SEO to climb the map results and turn up for “pub near me” searches starts from £99 as a one-off, with no monthly lock-in.
