Website maintenance in Sussex, with Page Forge, is not a separate care plan. Most web companies build a site and then sell you support on top. We do not. Looking after your site is part of the deal. Hosting, security, updates and support are all included in the monthly price.

That means your site stays fast and secure, your SSL and hosting are handled, and when you need a change (a new phone number, a fresh photo, a price update) you just ask. Six content updates a year are included. There are no logins to wrestle with and no tickets to raise. You email or call a real person in Hassocks.

One honest note: we look after the sites we build. We do not take on maintenance for other people’s WordPress sites, because that is the endless-patching trap we help businesses escape. If you are stuck paying for WordPress upkeep, the better fix is usually to move off it altogether. Same if you are on Wix or Squarespace and paying for a plan that is mostly hosting you do not control.

Maintenance is also part of staying visible. A site that slows down, drops its SSL, or still says last year’s prices quietly loses ranking and loses calls. Google notices speed and trust signals. ChatGPT notices whether the facts on the page are current. Keeping the copy, the schema and the crawler access up to date is unglamorous work, and it is included rather than billed as a surprise.

We are based in Hassocks and look after sites for businesses across West, Mid and East Sussex. For firms nearby we can meet in person. Further out we work by phone and email, which is how most updates happen anyway: you send the new hours or the new van photo, we put it live.

A lot of the WordPress “care plans” sold in Brighton and along the coast are really plugin-update retainers. You pay every month so someone can click Update on add-ons that should not have been there. Our sites do not have that stack, so the monthly price covers hosting, SSL, speed and the content changes you actually need, not a security treadmill.

If you already have a Page Forge site, this page is simply the detail of what you are already paying for. If you are with someone else and tired of the extra invoice, the usual path is a rebuild plus this maintenance, not a bolt-on on top of a platform we do not control.

Is website maintenance in Sussex really included?
Yes. Hosting, SSL, security, six content updates a year and support are all part of the £29 a month (or £299 a year). There is no separate care plan and no surprise bills.
Will you maintain my existing WordPress site?
No, and we are upfront about why. Maintaining other people’s WordPress sites is the endless-patching burden we help businesses get away from. If you are stuck with WordPress upkeep, we would rather move you to a site that does not need it. See our WordPress alternative.
What counts as a content update?
Changing text, prices, photos, opening hours, contact details or adding a service. Six rounds are included each year. Anything bigger, a new section or a redesign, we quote clearly before doing.
What if something breaks?
You call us. Because we host and look after the site, there is no finger-pointing between a builder, a host and a maintenance company. It is all us, and it is all included.
Does maintenance help my Google ranking and ChatGPT mentions?
Yes, in the unglamorous way. A site that stays fast, keeps a valid SSL, and has current hours, areas and schema is easier for Google to trust and easier for ChatGPT to quote accurately. Stale pages get skipped.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. There is no long tie-in and no lock-in. You stay because the site works and the support is there, not because a contract traps you.
How much is website maintenance if I am not a Page Forge customer yet?
The maintenance sits inside the website price: £99 setup plus £29 a month, or £299 a year. We do not sell a standalone care plan for someone else’s build.
