Affordable, professional websites for Seaford’s trades, shops and small firms. Built by a Sussex designer, live in days, everything included.
Seaford is a coastal town with a big local population and a steady flow of visitors drawn to the beach and the cliffs. For a local business that is a lot of potential customers, and almost all of them start on their phone. Page Forge builds Seaford businesses an affordable, professional website that turns a local search into a phone call. Everything included, live in about a week, from £99.
We are based in Hassocks, inland to the west, so Seaford is a fair drive down towards the coast rather than round the corner. That suits the way most sites get built now. We work with Seaford businesses by phone and video, visiting when it genuinely helps, and plenty of clients never need us on site. You still get one person who answers the phone and builds the site, not an agency production line.
You do not need to know anything technical. Tell us what you do and where you work, and we handle the design, the words, your .co.uk domain, email and hosting, then keep it running. We build for small businesses right across Sussex, from a bakery to Sussex builders, at one honest price with no surprises.
On Your Doorstep
Seaford lies on the coast between Newhaven and Eastbourne, roughly halfway between the mouths of the River Ouse and the Cuckmere. In the Middle Ages it was one of the main ports serving southern England and part of the Cinque Ports confederation, treated as a limb of Hastings. Its harbour later silted up, and French raiders burned the town more than once between 1350 and 1550, which is a large part of why it stayed small while Newhaven grew. The town had a rough reputation to match: its people were once nicknamed the “cormorants” or “shags” for their enthusiasm for looting wrecked ships, and local legend says they sometimes lured vessels aground with fake harbour lights on the cliffs.
The town’s modern shape came with the railway in the 19th century, which linked it to Lewes and London and turned it into a seaside resort and, later, a commuter and dormitory town for Eastbourne, Brighton and London. That mix still defines the customer base: local residents, retirees, families and a seasonal wave of visitors, all of whom look online first.
The setting does a lot of the marketing. Seaford Head, the beach, and the Seven Sisters cliffs just along the coast towards Beachy Head bring people to the area all year, and the cove at Hope Gap below the cliffs even gave its name to a film. The beach itself was famously rebuilt with around a million tonnes of shingle in the 1980s to protect the town, a scheme so dramatic it drew questions in the House of Commons after a storm washed much of it back out. For cafes, guest houses, trades and shops, that footfall is only worth something if you are easy to find, and a fast local website is how you get found.
The businesses we build for here are the everyday ones: trades and home services covering the town and out towards Bishopstone and Newhaven, independent shops and food places near the seafront, and one-person professional firms. Affordable does not mean basic. It means a clear, quick, credible site for a fair price, which is exactly what a local business needs to compete.
Also covering: Newhaven, Bishopstone, Alfriston, East Blatchington, Denton, Cuckmere Haven and the surrounding villages.
