Fast, professional websites for Reigate’s independents, trades and professionals. Live in days, everything included.
Page Forge builds websites for businesses in Reigate. When someone on the high street or in Redhill searches for a trade, a therapist or a local firm, the first professional site that loads on a phone is the one that gets the call. We design, write and launch yours, with your domain and hosting included. Everything included, live in about a week, from £99 with a fixed price you see before we start.
Reigate sits in the London commuter belt, roughly nineteen miles south of the capital, and it has the kind of customers who research online before they ring anyone. It is one of four towns in the borough of Reigate and Banstead, alongside Redhill, Banstead and Horley, and the borough council is based at the town hall on Castlefield Road while Surrey County Council runs the county from Woodhatch Place on the edge of town. For a trade, a therapist, a shop or a one-person professional firm, being easy to find and looking credible is most of the work. A slow or missing website hands that job to a competitor in Redhill who simply showed up first, and in a town where the same handful of firms turn up for every search, that first impression counts for a lot.
You don’t need to know anything technical, and you don’t need to sit through jargon. Tell us what you do and where you work; we design it, write it, sort your .co.uk domain and hosting, and keep it running afterwards. There are no logins to wrestle with and no half-finished template left for you to finish. Phone, email and video keep the build moving, so you are live in about a week. We’ve built for trades like a Sussex heating engineer and building contractors, so we know what a local services website needs to do to earn its keep.
On Your Doorstep
Reigate is an old town with plenty of real history. It appears in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Cherchefelle and only takes its modern name in the 1190s. A motte-and-bailey castle went up here in the late eleventh or early twelfth century, first in timber and later rebuilt in stone, and an Augustinian priory was founded to the south of the centre in the thirteenth century. The priory was closed at the Reformation and rebuilt as a home for William Howard, the first Baron Howard of Effingham, while the castle was abandoned around the same time and fell into disrepair. A weekly market ran from no later than 1279 all the way to 1895, trading oats, hops and flax. The town’s fortunes dipped in the eighteenth century, when new turnpike roads let cheaper goods made elsewhere undercut local producers, and it only really began to grow again once the railway arrived in the middle of the nineteenth century. The sale of much of the old priory estate in 1921 then released the land for a wave of housebuilding.
North of the town the ground rises into the North Downs, where the National Trust owns Colley Hill, at 722 feet above sea level, and Reigate Hill, higher still at 771 feet. It is the kind of green backdrop that keeps the town desirable and its property prices firm, which in turn keeps demand steady for local trades and services. None of that sells a website on its own, but it is exactly the kind of specific, true detail that makes a site read as if it genuinely belongs to Reigate rather than being churned out for anywhere. Google increasingly favours content that clearly relates to a real place, so we write your site so it sounds like it comes from the town and the borough it serves, then set up your Google Business Profile to match, so you show up when someone nearby searches for what you do.
