Fast, professional websites for Southwater’s trades and small businesses. Built by a Sussex designer, live in days, everything included from £99.
Southwater has grown into one of the larger villages in the Horsham district, with something over 10,000 people and a good number of them running or hiring local businesses. That kind of growth is good news if people can find you and bad news if they cannot. Page Forge builds Southwater businesses a fast, professional website that turns a local Google search into a phone call. Everything included, live in about a week, from £99.
We are based in Hassocks, a short drive across on the A281 and A24, so this is our part of Sussex rather than a name on a spreadsheet. A newer, growing community searches online more than most, because plenty of residents have moved in recently and have no old contacts to fall back on. When they need a plumber, a dog groomer or a builder, they type it into their phone. If your business shows up looking established, you get the work.
You do not need to know anything technical to get started. Tell us what you do and where you cover, and we handle the design, the writing, your .co.uk domain, the hosting and the updates afterwards. We build for trades and small firms right across the district, including Sussex builders like Sindall Building Contractors and specialists like Phoenix Piling, so we know what a working site needs to do.
On Your Doorstep
Southwater sits just south of Horsham, roughly 34 miles from London, and for most of its history it was a scatter of large estates and leased farms. What changed it was clay. The village had a major brickworks from the 19th century that at its peak turned out around 18 million bricks a year, and its red engineering bricks went into Christ’s Hospital, Victoria Station and even London air-raid shelters during the war. The works finally closed in 1981 after producing something like a thousand million bricks in total.
The railway that opened in 1866 was built largely to serve that brickworks, and although the line closed under the Beeching cuts in the 1960s, its route lives on as part of the Downs Link path for walkers and cyclists. The old clay pits became Southwater Country Park, a 70-acre site with three lakes, a visitor centre, a water sports centre and a skate park. There is even an iguanodon statue nicknamed Iggy, marking a dinosaur fossil find in the 1920s. It is the kind of local colour that makes a website feel like it belongs here.
Modern Southwater has a proper centre at Lintot Square, renewed in the mid-2000s, and it blends into Horsham to the north and villages like Christ’s Hospital, Shipley, Cowfold and Nuthurst around the edges. The businesses we build for reflect that: trades and home services working across the new estates, independents around the village centre, and one-person professional firms run from a spare room or a garden office.
For any of them, being genuinely findable locally is most of the battle. When someone types “electrician Southwater” or searches “near me”, Google weighs where you are and how well your site is set up. We write your pages so they read as local, because they are, and we set up your Google Business Profile so you appear when it counts.
Also covering: Horsham, Broadbridge Heath, Christ’s Hospital, Shipley, Cowfold, Nuthurst and the surrounding villages.
